The Arduino UNO is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has 14 Digital inputs / outputs (6 of which can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, USB connector, pin female jack, ICSP connector and reset button. Operates at 16MHz.

It contains everything needed to operate the microcontroller, you just have to connect the computer with a USB cable or a battery to operate.

ONE version differs from previous versions that do not use the USB to serial converter chip FTDI, instead incorporates a ATmega16U2 programmed as serial to USB converter. This chip has a native USB and can be reprogrammed so that the Arduino is recognized when connected to computer and any USB peripheral.

This new version also has added more pins. Next to the AREF pin have been SDA and SCL pins for I2C communication.

In the power supply block 2 pins have been added, one marked IOref plate will serve to recognize the type of power required shieds (3.3v or 5v) and the other will be used in future versions.
